Naturalistic Destination

Embracing the highest summit in the Middle East (3,070 m.), the Caza of Bcharre combines a splendor of sights to a distinguished deep-rooted lifestyle.
This outstanding character created the unique identity that made the Caza shine over the whole world thousands of years ago.
Located in Northern Lebanon at 110 Km from Beirut Airport, the Caza of Bcharre is formed of 22 communities and is named after the community of Bcharre, the largest among the 22.

Its small area of 150 Km2 encloses two sites that have been inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List for Natural & Cultural Sites: the Cedars of God and the Qadisha Valley also known as the Holy Valley.

The Eternal Cedars, symbol of Lebanon, were a candidate for the new Seven Wonders of the World.
The Qadisha Valley, ancient shelter for persecuted Christians, has become the symbol of holiness and piousness due to the many convents and sanctuaries built inside the rocks and spread all over the area.

The convent of Our Lady of Qannoubeen has been for over 400 years the Maronite Patriarchal See where critical political decisions were made and affected the history of Lebanon and the neighborhood.

And the wonders list is yet to begin: Saint Charbel, the miracle of Lebanon and of the whole world; Khalil Gibran, the timeless renown artist, author and philosopher; the Qadisha Grotto, beautifully sculpted by the hands of nature; Bqaakafra, the highest populated town in the Middle East with its 1,700 m. above sea level; Diman, the summer Maronite Patriarchal See; the ski slopes in Bcharre considered among the best in the world.
