After careful evaluation, the Scientific Committee of the Swiss Tourism Awards then selected the city of Katowice for the cultural destination category and awarded the prize:

“City on the Move: Important Cultural Center.”

Katowice is one of Poland’s fastest-developing metropolises, it is the center of science and education in Upper Silesia, local cultural institutions offer a diverse and complementary range of events-these are just some of the reasons why we awarded Katowice this prestigious award.
