After careful evaluation, the Swiss Tourism Awards Scientific Committee then selected Antigua and Barbuda and awarded the prize:

“An enchantment of nature to the rhythm of reggae and calypso.”

Antigua and Barbuda is a Central American state that has won a “Swiss tourism award,” and offers a tropical climate that is well suited for sightseeing. Unmissable on the list of things to see is Nelsons Dockyard, which was once chosen as the home of the British Navy and now offers museums, restaurants and galleries in its various buildings. Impossible not to mention among the wonders to be seen the beaches of Deep Bay, where a huge mast of a shipwreck rises out of the water; Galleon Beach, a place that seems isolated from the rest of the world and where tranquility reigns as well as the extraordinary beauty of the seascape; and Half Moon Bay, entirely natural and devoid of man-made constructions.

It is a real paradise, where among other things you can enjoy excellent food in the small restaurant located at least 100 meters from the beach. Highly recommended is a visit to the island of Barbuda, with a population of less than two thousand and breathtaking natural scenery, with magnificent beaches and coral reefs that will delight snorkelers. This island can only be accessed by a short flight or a rather slow ferry boat, but the game can only be worth the candle.
