The Selection Committee is the body responsible for selecting and assigning the Swiss Tourism Awards. The Committee therefore officially invites a destination to Lugano to participate to a week entirely dedicated to tourism and to take the prestigious recognition.

The participation to the Swiss Tourism Awards and the promotional package bound to it are exclusively reserved to the selected destinations and foresee the payment of an acceptance fee that is used to cover the basic organizational expenses of the Committee.

Cities or resorts can stand for the Swiss Tourism Awards by sending the candidacy request, explaining the reasons and signalling the category they have chosen.
