Swiss Tourism Awards: the selection process
The Selection Committee
Destinations are scrutinized with a thorough online reputation analysis using Web2rism tools that enable the committee working on the recognition to clearly and precisely identify their merits, strengths and opportunities.
The data collected and analyzed by Web2rism is carefully processed and each tourism destination that reaches a minimum quality threshold of 60 percent is classified as a ``Web2rism Certified Destination`` and thus deemed eligible for nomination to the Swiss Tourism Awards.
Each ``Web2rism Certified Destination`` is considered by the Committee, which evaluates the results from the Web2rism analysis and identifies the main strengths on the tourism front for each location; if it is deemed suitable, the Committee proposes its nomination to the Swiss Tourism Awards
The official application
Destinations are eligible to accept the nomination, which includes attending the award ceremony and presenting the destination as a ``Swiss Tourism Award`` location to the enthusiastic audience at the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition.
